Help us celebrate another important type of donation - blood donation! Organ and tissue transplants are not possible without blood donations. This is an annual event to help rebuild blood supplies following the Independence Day holiday weekend - the lowest week of the summer for blood donations! We'll be there to thank blood donors for saving lives, and tell them that they can save even more lives in the future by registering as organ and tissue donors.
This event is indoors on Sunday, July 6 at the Tempe Center for the Arts. Vitalant will also provide lunch for all volunteers at the table. Also, if you would like to give blood while you are there, that's great! You can do a walk-in donation while you're there, or make an appointment here: https://www.vitalant.org/saveaz
In appreciation for donating, blood donors can receive:
- One lucky Saving Arizona blood donor will be drawn as one of the 10 finalists to win a 2025 VW Taos S, donated by our Valley Volkswagen dealers
- Choice of Sun's Up, Sleeves Up T-shirt or tank
- $20 Vitalant Rewards gift card
Once you register for the event, you'll receive an event sheet at least 3 days prior to the event date with all the details on what to wear, where to meet, etc.
Are you able to pick up the promotional materials the week before the event? What about drop them off with DNA staff after the event? This would be a huge help! These logistical details make volunteer events possible. If you can help out in this way, let us know at volunteers@dnaz.org
