Join us for our July Volunteer Meeting in Tempe and online! We'll talk about upcoming events and enjoy a presentation from our birth tissue team. Did you know that new moms in Arizona can donate their placenta to heal burn victims and people suffering from other difficult-to-heal wounds? Following the miracle of life, birth tissue (placenta and umbilical cord) can become a priceless gift with the potential to aid in the healing of multiple or various types of surgical procedures. In addition to cherishing the miracle of new life, moms and babies are able to help others through the donation of birth tissue.
Those joining in-person can arrive as early as 5:30 p.m. to enjoy some food and meet other volunteers. Volunteers will view a presentation from 6 - 7 p.m. After the presentation, those attending in-person will have the opportunity to participate in making no-sew blankets! DNA gives a handmade baby blanket to every mom and baby who donates their birth tissue.
